About VHAWANA

A marketplace named after the thing it does.

Vhawana is Tshivenda for to find. Finding is the part every marketplace gets wrong, for the person shopping and for the person selling, and fixing it is the entire reason this exists.

Our mission

Everyone selling something good deserves to be found.

On every other marketplace, the seller who wins is the one with the biggest team. Someone to write the listing, someone to price it, someone to photograph it, someone to work out why it is not showing up in search. The product barely enters into it.

VHAWANA exists to delete that entire job. The AI writes the listing, sets the category, reads the photographs, fills in the details a buyer will ask about, and puts the product in front of the person who described needing it. A seller with one good product and no team gets the same treatment as a seller with a warehouse.

And on the other side, a shopper should never have to learn our vocabulary. Say it the way you would say it out loud, and the marketplace does the rest.

What we hold to

Four rules, and we do not bend them for a sale.

Each of these costs us something. That is how you can tell they are rules rather than marketing.

01

The machine does the work, not the seller

Writing a listing, choosing a category, setting a price and answering the same buyer question forty times is work. It is the reason good sellers lose to well-staffed ones. All of it now belongs to the machine.

02

A person still signs off

Every generated listing goes through review before it goes live, and every field records whether it came from AI, an AI draft a human edited, or a human outright. Automatic does not mean unaccountable.

03

We say when we do not have it

When nothing in the catalogue really fits what you asked for, the search says so instead of showing you the nearest thing with confidence. A shopper sent the wrong thing once does not come back.

04

One delivery price, said up front

Flat R149 anywhere in South Africa, and an honest range in working days rather than a date we cannot promise. Surprises belong in the parcel, not at checkout.

For sellers

Three things to do. We handle the rest.

No listing to write, no category to choose, no keywords to guess at.

See how selling will work
01

Describe it roughly

A few untidy lines is enough. What it is, who it is for, anything a buyer would want to know. No form with thirty fields.

02

Add a photograph

The machine reads it for details you did not mention, then asks you about anything it still cannot tell from the picture.

03

Check and publish

You get a finished listing to approve or edit. Once it is live, the matching puts it in front of people describing what you are selling.

Founder and CEO

Current e-commerce is fundamentally broken for both sides. Buyers are forced to navigate search noise, and sellers spend more energy fighting algorithms than building supply. VHAWANA fundamentally restructures this. We build autonomous AI infrastructure that manages store operations for sellers, while allowing buyers to express intent naturally-giving them effortless discovery. Vhawana - they ask, they find, done.

We aren't just building a marketplace; we're building the autonomous trade engine for the next generation of global commerce.
